Gurcharn qualified from The University of Birmingham, School of Dentistry (2002) and then successfully completed a PhD in Materials Science at Trinity College Dublin in 2008. He was shortly after awarded Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS). Subsequently, Gurcharn proceeded to work as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer and Researcher at Cardiff Dental School. He worked alongside specialists in Restorative dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which further developed his existing skills, enabling him to manage and treat more advanced cases requiring specialist skills.
Working in these fields has led Gurcharn to acquire a special interest in Periodontology (gum treatment), treating patients both surgically and non-surgically including those requiring mucogingival therapy. In addition, his role also involved him lecturing to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in General Dentistry, Endodontics and Implantology.
Gurcharn aims to provide a high level of care, placing emphasis on prevention, providing comprehensive treatment plans, and discussing all treatment options with his patients.
Away from the world of dentistry Gurcharn enjoys spending time with his twins and practicing his Kung Fu.
